Three matching fabric covered buttons close the garment at the centre of the bust and three further buttons can also be found adorning the turn up cuffs at the end of a long sleeves

with only a faint white mark to the jacket bodice as pictured

The skirt is cut in a classic slight a line shape and closes with an original metal side zipper and button above

This wonderful coat was made from super soft tan leather (most likely calf) in the 1940s

however there is evidence of alterations to the lining

The garment is cut in a sleeveless style with a high neckline and Peter Pan collar. To the front of the bodice there is a v shaped shoulder yoke with a single tier overhang. Four decorative buttons extend down to the point of the yolk and are fastened with a line of concealed press studs. There are a number of pleats to the bodice and the skirt of the dress
