It was in fact most likely made for the tourist market at the time and is a wonderful combination of fine Eastern silks combined with a Western design

It closes at the side with a hidden set zipper and a Chanel button at the waist

For an original piece that is now almost 100 years old I would rate this as excellent overall condition

Weve dated it to the Fall 1979 collection based on the runway photo we found that shows a dress with the same fabric. It is a very easy and comfortable dress to wear but has such a beautiful glamour to it. I feel that it perfectly represents this time period. His work was integral to the label's development over the decades
