Serges have been produced at Val Saint Lambert in Belgium since the 1870s and were briefly produced at Holmegaard during World War I and immediately after. The glass originates from Val Saint Lambert in the 1960s. The glass is cut on a form called Werner, which is decorated in several versions, of which this cut is called Serges. Serges are ground in crystal glass. This is necessary to be able to become all the many crosses and stars.
