We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: California has no limits when it comes to violating civil rights when it comes to so-called “public safety.” Law-abiding, peaceable citizens will now be footing the bill, to the tune of an additional 11%, in the form of a facially-unconstitutional tax, to purchase ammunition.

A court not well-known for ruling properly in 2nd Amendment cases, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals just properly applied Bruen. The case involved a non-violent convicted felon’s challenge to firearm possession prohibition.

New York is where gun rights go to die. Most rights, in fact. A New York Senator has no problem disregarding multiple US Supreme Court decisions and is now trying to ban semi-auto pistols, such as Glock.

As we always say, “a right delayed is a right denied.” Maine Governor, Janet Mills, ironically, just allowed a 10-day waiting period to pass, without taking action on the unconstitutional bill so that it could go into effect automatically without it being on her record as a law she signed.

The only thing that stands between law-abiding, tax-paying, Minnesotans and three new unconstitutional gun control laws is the Minnesota Senate. The bills have already passed the house and Governor Tim Walz has publicly stated that he will sign all three if they pass. Will the Senate come through on behalf of the good people of Minnesota?

Unlike Tennessee’s recently-enacted legislation, Colorado has just enacted the exact opposite. Today, Governor Polis signed a law that gives credit card companies, and likely the government, permission to spy on law-abiding gun owners.

The ATF’s so-called “Engaged in the Business” rule, criminalizing everyday, law-abiding citizens, that want to engage in the constitutionally-protected business of selling firearms from their own personal collections, is now finalized. The rule is hundreds of pages long, very ambiguous, and clearly designed to deter folks from even thinking about offloading a piece from their stash. They’ve been immediately hit with a lawsuit over this one.

On April 26, Federal District Court Judge, William S. Stickman, enjoined the Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner from enforcing the state law that bans 18-to-20-year-old adults from carrying a firearm outside of the home for self-defense during a state of emergency.

Tennessee now joins the majority of states which now have laws on the books that allow educators to carry concealed firearms for the protection of the children. There’s now more than 30 states that allow armed faculty in schools.

Like a handful of other states, Tennessee values the privacy of its citizens. The recently-enacted “Second Amendment Financial Privacy Act” prevents financial institutions from creating merchant codes specific to gun shops that can be used to track firearm purchases differently than other types of retail sales.

The musings and ramblings throughout his 47-page opinion completely disregard both Bruen and Heller and make Washington’s ban on so-called “Large Capacity Magazines” permanent.
