A recently enacted law, designed to allow the State to circumvent PLCAA and bankrupt the gun industry, just had a Preliminary Injunction issued against it. Allowing these kinds of lawsuits would almost certainly make firearms more difficult to obtain and much more expensive. The icing on the cake here is that the federal judge is a Biden appointee.

Platkin case expands upon the original Carry Killer TRO issued in the Koons v. Reynolds case a short time ago. This train’s next stop will be the preliminary injunction phase which may result in even further invalidation of the new law.
In a disappointing bit of news, the US Supreme Court denied certiorari in the case of Greco v. Platkin, which challenges New Jersey’s so-called Red Flag laws. Despite all parties agreeing that the law is unconstitutional, the inferior courts have also dismissed the case. New Jerseyans will need to stay on their neighbors’ good sides for the time being.
